JOSÉ R. ORDEIX LLABALY - PRESIDENT 

José R. Ordeix Llabaly was appointed Treasurer of GUIA in September 2009.  Since 1999 he serves as the vicepresident of Motorambar, Inc. distributor of Nissan, Infiniti and Kia Motors in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.  Mr. Ordeix directs the strategic commercial administration of 32 authorized dealership through the Island..........

RICARDO GARCÍA - VICE PRESIDENT

Ricardo García was appointed the new General Director of Chyrsler Group of Puerto Rico on July 15, 2011.  He is responsible for processing and managing the distribution area, sales, marketing, services and administration of the Puerto Rico Region, the US Virgin Islands and the brands Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Fiat in the Caribbean.  


NORIAKI YASHIRO - SECRETARY 

Noriaki Yashiro has been in Puerto Rico  for three years serving as President & CEO of Plaza Motors Corporation d/b/a/ Mazda de Puerto Rico and he is Secretary and a member of the board of GUIA since September 2009.  Plaza Motors Corporation is 100% owned by Sumitomo Corporation, one of the largest multinational investment companies in Japan (http://www.sumitomocorp.co.jp/english/)......

CARLOS LÓPEZ-LAY - TREASURER

Carlos López-Lay is President and CEO of Bella International, one of the largest local automobile companies in Puerto Rico. He obtained a BA in Political Science from St. Mary’s College in 1989, a Juris Doctor from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 1992 and attended a course of study for Owner and President Management in Harvard University in 2003.

 

MARIO DÁVILA - MEMBER

Mario Dávila is President of Toyota de Puerto Rico Corp. (TDPR) and has lead the Toyota team in Puerto Rico since August 2002. He has been the promoter of a customer satisfaction culture, the development of the dealership network and the strengthening of Toyota, Lexus and Scion brands.  Before acting as President, Davila was the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director. 

CARLOS ANTONIO LATOUR - MEMBER 

Carlos Antonio Latour is the Chevrolet Zone Manager for General Motors’ Puerto Rico, Caribbean and South Florida markets. In this role he is responsible for serving as a GM liaison to GM dealerships throughout his territories -- providing support and counsel to ensure their success. Latour also is responsible for area sales, service and parts management.

IRMA SOTOGRÁS SALDAÑA - MEMBER 

In 2002 Mrs. Sotográs was hired by Suzuki Del Caribe as Group Financial Comptroller, with the responsibilities of administrating and in charge of the finance functions for the Suzuki group in the retail and wholesale segments.  On September 2012 she was appointed Senior Vice President currently directing the distribution of the Suzuki vehicles, motorbikes and marine engines.    

Kimichimi Hirakawa KIMICHIMI HIRAKAWA - MEMBER

Kimimichi Hirakawa has been president of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Caribbean, Inc (MMSC) since June 2012. He started his career in Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) as a Design Engineer in 1987.

VÍCTOR QUINTERO - MEMBER

Victor Quintero, President & CEO of Hyundai de Puerto Rico holds a degree in business administration, graduated from the University of Carabobo, Venezuela; he has 33 years of experience in the automotive industry. He is the co-author of the essay: models of development for the automotive Sector and author of various works including: 40 years of automotive policy.

Mark Buzell MARK BUZZELL - MEMBER

Mark Buzzell is Managing Director for Ford International Business Development in the Caribbean and Central America. He is responsible Sales, Marketing and Service operations for the Ford and Lincoln brands across 23 countries in the region. Mark joined Ford in its San Francisco regional office in 1989. During his tenure, he has spent several years in various regional management positions including: Chicago Region Marketing Manager, Detroit Region Sales Operations Manager, Twin Cities Regional Sales Manager, and most recently Regional Manager for Ford-Lincoln Sales & Service in the Chicago Region.
